Movement Arts - 12 Step - Driver Development Structure

Step One - First consultation
We need to get to know you. Therefore we will meet with you to discuss all aspects of your career goals and your level of experience. After this first meeting we will develop a strategy of the following steps to meet your specific requirements.

Step Two - Analysis of your skill level and experience
We will review your racing background and accomplishments, this also includes on-track observation and interviews with past and present teams, engineers or driver coaches.

Step Three - Planning Phase of your career
Similar than a starting or growing a business you need a career plan which outlines your racing goals, age, background, experience, timeline and available or needed budgets. Usually we develop a master plan covering the next three years of your career.

Step Four - Deciding which race series fits you best
We will review and suggest the series which fit you best under the criteria's of your overall career goals, available or needed budgets, stability within the series, the visibility of the series to attract program partners, your experience level, the competition within the series, the series specific prize money structure and other incentives such as scholarships or development ladder systems. In some cases you may actually purchase your race vehicle. We will help you with the selection of the right equipment and purchase options.

Step Five - Deciding on a Racing School
Sometimes you need to walk before you can run or better race. Therefore a racing school could be a good step before actually entering in a racing series. Based on the decision which series you will run in we will suggest the racing school which is the best fit for your planned series and career also in respect of your budget and experience. This may also include racing schools who offer incentives and awards which can support you in your career planning.

Step Six - Review and selection of available race teams
Based on our experience and the planned racing series, we will review and suggest available race teams to operate your program in the planned racing series. Those teams could be within our own partner network, regardless we will suggest the best available fit for you based on the teams background, accomplishments and history, required budget, team management & personnel, used equipment, location and teammates

Step Seven - Budget Planning
It needs money to race. And the race operational budgets are just part of the overall needed annual budget to make it to the end of the season. We will develop based on your career plan an overall "budget master plan" which is critical to control the overall needed seasonal budget as well as required cash flow throughout the year. This master budget will include the actual race budget, travel costs, crash damage, insurance programs, management and consultant fees.

Step Eight - Driver Coaching
Same as in other sports a good coach can make all the difference and a good driver coach can speed up your progress and learning curve enormous. We work with the best in the business and can suggest a coach who will analysis your skills, work with you on and off the track, as well helps you with your personal presentation, off-track skills and how to work with the media, sponsors and series officials.

Step Nine - Technical Schooling
Same as the actual driving you need to learn the technical aspects of being a driver. How to communicate with your team and most important your race engineer. How to read and understand the data analysis, the vehicle dynamics and technical aspects of your car. How to maximize testing and racing programs.

Step ten - Marketing and PR programs
If you don't plan to finance you're racing career on your own you need to present and sell yourself to potential hiring teams and program partner. We can develop and provide you with all needed marketing and sales material customized for your program including PR service, media training, websites and representation to potential partners.

Step Eleven - Fitness and Mental training
Racing happened to a large degree in your head. It's like a chess game at high speed. To have access capabilities you need to be physically fit and mentally strong to outperform on the track. With our coaches we will analysis your current level on fitness and mental strength and develop goal oriented fitness programs and mental exercises customized for your needs.

Step Twelve - Negotiations and Administration
You need to focus on your driving and your career. We will take care of the needed negotiations with teams and program partner, review contracts and help you with needed program administration such as required licenses, wavers, entries or visas.
